Rudd and Cuomo

Paul Rudd, Marvel star and “Certified Young Person,” and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo have banded together to send a message to millennials about the coronavirus pandemic. In the hilarious video, Rudd is seen wearing a yellow track suit, headphones around his neck, a NY baseball cap with a skateboard in hand.

The new video starts out with Rudd speaking to the camera saying “Paul Rudd here, actor and certified young person. A few days ago I was talking on the iPhone with my homie Governor Cuomo and he’s just going off about how us millennials need to wear masks. Because, get this, apparently a lot of Covid is transmitted by us millennials. No cap.”

Throughout the video Rudd poked fun at what seemed to be “young person lingo”. Things like… “So fam, lets real talk.” “Masks. They’re totally beast!” “Vibe check! Yes, queens like ourselves want to go to bars, we want to drink, hook up, do our TikToks… I get it. I’m not going to preach at you like some celebrity.”

At the end of the light hearted video, Rudd’s tone turns more stern, “Just wear a mask. It’s easy, it’s simple. Please, it’s not hard! People are dying, hundreds of thousands of people are dying and it’s preventable… It’s preventable! Just wear a mask, I shouldn’t have to make it fun! It’s science!”

The video closes out with the message that reads, “WEAR YOUR MASK. IT’S SCIENCE. UGH!!!”

Rudd’s Mask PSA is a part of Governor Cuomo’s #MaskUpAmerica campaign and has been posted to Rudd’s and Cuomo’s social media.
