One of the big reasons as to why is not only because they are in first place ahead of the more talented Dallas Cowboys, but because they had a whole offseason full of scandal and mystery. Just a few months ago the Washington Football Team had to undergo a full scale rebranding process after their previous name, The Washington Redskins, was retired due to calls for change by the fans and pressure from the franchises sponsors. Now it appears as though the owner of the franchise Dan Snyder may be keeping the &#8220;Football Team&#8221; name after all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>         <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Dan Snyder: Washington Football Team may be our permanent name <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/9XEKBW3GeE\">https:\/\/t.co\/9XEKBW3GeE<\/a><\/p>&mdash; ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ProFootballTalk\/status\/1305199704402259968?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 13, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Personally, I believe that if the fans love the name and embrace it as their onw than they should totally keep the name. Now do I believe that the name &#8220;Football Team&#8221; is an original name&#8230;absolutely not. In fact, fans of the organization have even come up with their own designs that I believe to be quite creative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"742\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/goodbuzz.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Redtails.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-994\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goodbuzz.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Redtails.png 742w, https:\/\/goodbuzz.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Redtails-300x144.png 300w, https:\/\/goodbuzz.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Redtails-696x335.png 696w, https:\/\/goodbuzz.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Redtails-600x289.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 742px) 100vw, 742px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>My favorite of the ideas that I found on the internet is the one pictured above. Naming the team the &#8220;Washington Redtails&#8221; is, in my mind, brilliant for multiple reasons.
