Matthew McConaughey gives ‘Greenlights’ in his newest memoir

The Academy Award winning actor and humanitarian pens his life lessons, revelations and affirmations in what he says is not “a traditional memoir”.

Movie lovers met McConaughey in “Dazed and Confused”, a 1993 comedy that followed that last day of school for a bunch of middle and high schoolers. From there, he swooned the hearts of ladies with his southern charm and dashing good looks in rom-coms like “The Wedding Planner” and “How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days”.

For the last thirty-five years of the fifty one years he has been alive, McConaughey kept journal entries, posted notes, mementos and keepsakes of the most pivotal moments in his life. This memoir is like sitting next to a campfire listening to a wise man tell stories in a way that makes you laugh wholeheartedly and reflect subconsciously about life in its many successes and failures.

In what McConaughey writes as a “love letter to life”, he takes you on a journey that explores the bachelor turned family man’s rise to fame, boyhood to manhood and the meaning behind his wet dreams (yes, you read it right).

‘Greenlights’ is a wild ride that McConaughey eloquently keeps the reader entertained chapter by chapter; Additionally, reaffirming the art of storytelling with ease and poise.

The New York Times bestseller ‘Greenlights’ is available everywhere books are sold.
